First Baptist Church Children's Center
The Children’s Center will be closed on Friday, March 19th for our
Professional Development Day. We will also be closed on Friday, April
2nd for Good Friday.
FYI – We will provide all day care for school age children during
WS/FC Schools Spring Break. The cost for school age care is $28.00
per day. Please speak with Ms. Beverly, Ms. Shawn, or Ms. Cheryl by
no later than Friday, March 26th to reserve a spot for your school age
child. Spaces will be limited.
Parking Reminder - Please remember that a designated short-term
loading zone is located on Poplar Street directly outside of the
Children’s Center entrance, which is in the breezeway. For special
programs or events, parents may park in the parking lot directly
behind the playground or in the 6th Street parking lot. Please do not
park across the street from the entrance or in the breezeway as this
creates a serious safety hazard.
PLEASE do not allow children (including school age children) to ride
the elevator unaccompanied by an adult. An older sibling will not
suffice. There must be an adult with the child at all times. Children can
get hands and/or fingers caught in the elevator door as it is opening
or closing. If a power failure were to occur, a child could potentially be
stuck on an elevator in the dark. If certain buttons on the elevator are
pushed, the fire department automatically responds, and we are fined
for false calls. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Looking Ahead - Our Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be held during
the week of April 12 – 16, which also happens to be Week of the Young
Child! The theme for this year’s Week of the Young Child is Early Years
Are Learning Years. We hope to plan some special events for this
week, so look for more information to come!
On Sunday, March 28 from 4:00-6:30 pm, preschoolers, schoolagers
and their parents are invited to come celebrate and learn more about
Holy Week through arts activities, music and more. Other festivities
include an egg hunt, dinner, and a petting zoo. Cost: $2.00 per

10 GREAT DATES: This fun, proven approach to relationship growth will
help you and your spouse communicate better, grow spiritually,
process conflict and more; beginning Friday, March 12, for the 2nd
and 4th Friday nights of each month through July. Childcare will be
available from 5:15-8:00pm at $10 per family. “Dates” will start with a
brief DVD and discussion, followed by your individual date night.
Registration is required for childcare and to ensure each couple will
have their books and materials. For more information call 722-2558,
