First Baptist Church Children's Center






We want to welcome all our new families to FBCCC! The teachers
report that everyone has had a terrific first week of school! Thank you
again for your continued support of our program.

Reminder – The Children’s Center will be closed Monday, September
6th in observance of Labor Day.

Scholastic Book Orders will be due back on Friday, September 10th.
Please make checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. Book orders
should be back in about 2 weeks from the time we place the order.

The safety of your children continues to be a priority for us here at
First Baptist. Please make sure that we have updated information in
our records, especially current phone numbers. It is also imperative
that we have a list of people on file that are allowed to pick up your
child. We will ask for identification if there is any question as to who is
picking up a child.

Looking Ahead - Our Annual Fall Festival will be held on Wednesday,
October 27th from 9:30 – 12:00. There will be fun activities and games
for all! Parents are invited and encouraged to attend. We need
parents to contribute “treats” or “prizes” for the children to win in the
game areas. Suggestions include: packages of individually wrapped
snacks like raisins, goldfish, and cookies; bags of individually
wrapped candy; treat bags with small toys or stickers. A collection box
for treats will be located near the office. We will have 12 stations and
need prizes for at least 100 children at each station, so the more the
better! We appreciate your contributions for the children – we couldn’t
do this without your help!

Does your child have an extra change of seasonally appropriate
clothing here? The North Carolina Division of Child Development
requires that children have a complete change of clothing here at all
times. This is not optional. It is very distressing to a child to have an
accident and not have a change of clothes. Please make sure this
doesn’t happen to your child!

First Baptist Church Children’s Center will be undergoing some
exciting renovations over the next few weeks! A fresh coat of paint
and new carpet are on the way. It is our understanding that much of
the work will be done after hours in an effort to cause as little
disruption to our classrooms as possible. Please bear with us during
these next few weeks. The finished product will be well worth it!
