First Baptist Church Children's Center
We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
Reminder - The Children’s Center will be closed on January 1st for
New Year’s Day and again on January 19th for Martin Luther King Day.
Please join us for a Lunch and Learn with Judith Kuhn, Kindergarten
Readiness Specialist, on Thursday, January 8, 2009 in the FBC
Fellowship Hall beginning at 12:00 noon. Lunch will be provided at no
cost. Please call the Children’s Center office to sign up by Monday,
January 5, 2009.
We are pleased to announce that the Children’s Center plans to
open a new infant classroom in February 2009! The new infant room
will be located in Room 117. The children in Room 117
(Toddlers/Twos) have been relocated down the hall to Room 113.
Tuition Increase - There will be a tuition increase beginning next fall
with the 2009/2010 school year. New tuition fees will be as follows:
Preschool
Rooms 116, 117 & 120 - $170.00 per week
Rooms 113 & 119 - $160.00 per week
Rooms 114 & 115 - $150.00 per week
Room 217, 218, & 219 - $140.00 per week
School Age
Before School - $30.00 per week
After School - $50.00 per week
Before/After School - $80.00 per week
Full Day Care - $26.00 per day
2009 Summer Enrichment - $140.00 per week
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather
each day. The children go outside to play every day unless it is
raining or extremely hot/cold. Does your child have a complete
change of clothing here at school for cooler weather? If not, please
be sure to send seasonally appropriate clothing in. Also, please
make sure your child’s clothing is labeled, especially outerwear like
coats, hats, and mittens.
Inclement Weather Policy - If the WS/Forsyth County Schools delay
opening due to inclement weather conditions, the Children’s Center
will open at 9 a.m. If schools are closed for the day, we will open at
10:00 a.m. or remain closed for the day, depending on the severity of
road conditions. A decision will be made by no later than 8:00 a.m. If
the schools we serve close during the day due to inclement weather
conditions, we will not pick children up from school. Please consult
WXII-12 throughout the morning for updated delay/closing
information. You may also call the center in the morning and
information regarding delays or closings will be available on our
answering machine.
